   Largest corporate layoff of 2025: ~14,000 corporate roles cut, with reports of up to 30,000 planned. HR chief Beth Galetti's memo framed the cuts around the transformative impact of generative AI and the need to run leaner; CEO Andy Jassy had warned in June that AI would shrink the corporate workforce. On the Oct 30 earnings call Jassy walked the AI framing back, saying the cuts were about culture, not AI or finances.
